Findings

Look carefully at the two views here. The patient has a bone tumor.

  1. Can you identify where this tumor is?

    Lateral femur

Correct! This patient has a giant cell tumor of the femur. The lateral femoral condyle has been entirely destroyed by the tumor.
    Medial femur

Incorrect. Look at the images carefully, use the landmarks and familiar bones to orient yourself. Try again!
    Medial tibia

Incorrect. Although the tibia is visible on this image, the tumor is in the bone proximal to the tibia. Try again.
    Lateral humerus

Incorrect. Look carefully at the bones to determine which joint you are looking at. Try again.
